Ringing the Bell... Again

I'm sitting at my last immunotherapy appointment and ready to ring that damn bell again. I'm one step closer to being done with all this! 😁 I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I'm ready to get there already. I may be the slightest bit impatient LOL Don't nod! I feel y'all nodding right now! 😉

So what's happening? A lot going on right now. I saw the breast surgeon for a follow-up and the lump I found is just scar tissue. 😁 Since my lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy scars are close, the scar tissue is fusing together, making a large lump. I don't have complete range of motion with my left arm still and she says I'm way too young for that so she's recommending physical therapy. I countered with at-home exercises and she's giving me a couple months to work it out or PT it is. Now you're probably rolling your eyes that I negotiated with the surgeon, but I've got better things to do with my time than go to yet another doctor. 🤪 Other than that, it's just the normal fatigue, hand and foot syndrome, and other stuff we expected would probably happen. More good days than bad so I'll take it! 😁

I started my fifth cycle of chemo today so only a few more cycles (total of eight) and I can be done with that, too. It sounds crazy, but that's probably when I'll panic. Even though I don't particularly enjoy the side effects of all this, I'm going to be a nervous wreck when I'm not proactively doing anything to prevent a recurrence. I'm doing all I can now and I'm down to a 30-35% chance which is as close as I can get. Then I'll just have to live my life and cross my fingers that we don't have to do all this again. 🤞

Christian's rubbing elbows with all the politicians, Cade is taking AP classes that are keeping him busy and getting ready for track season, and Bre and Corey are prepping for his new job working at the same company as her. Rhys is wining and dining potential new clients and getting ready to head to Minnesota for some hardware updates for a current client. This means that Niko gets to go to doggy daycare, but they won't let him play with the other dogs yet since he's not neutered. As if it's his fault that he's not old enough, poor guy. 😥 I'll have to make it up to him with extra cuddles when I pick him up ❤️

We'be been planning some trips recently and I'm ready to go now. This cold weather stinks! 🥶 The girls and I are heading to Asheville this summer (SO EXCITED!), then we get to visit Mike and Melissa in Hershey, PA a few weeks later, and then Christmas in Vegas, baby! We're planning our group vacation for 2024 already and it's looking like Hilton Head. I have plenty to look forward to. Now to figure out how to get to Europe...
