Here's Goes Nothing

We've been keeping busy and I'm enjoying having some energy back. Bre came into town a couple weeks ago for a work conference and we snuck in a couple hours for dinner the second night. We don't get to see her nearly enough, but I'll take what I can get. ❤️ Cade's been keeping busy with end of season parties and Christian is getting his Senate intern application together for submission.

Rhys and I went with Ryan and Olivia to Kelsay Farms last weekend. She played on the jump pad, hay bale climb, and we went to the petting zoo. We walked the small story maze and the large maze for a prize and then we went on a hayride. She wore me out, but we had so much fun!

I had dinner with the girls earlier this week to celebrate Rocki's birthday. 🎉 🎂 We've been trying new places and went to Flatwater in Broad Ripple. Nice place and good food. If it had been warmer, we could've sat outside and enjoyed the canal so maybe we'll go back next summer. We sang happy birthday and enjoyed a piece a decadent chocolate cake.

I got my first haircut Thursday night and started my next chemo on Friday morning. The top side effects for this one are hand and foot syndrome (red, peeling, painful skin), nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, and low blood counts. Grandma gave me some lotion with urea in it so I'm using that a few times a day to stay moisturized. So far so good.

TODAY'S SILVER LINING: We got our new phones and Pixel watches!!! That should have so many more exclamation marks, but I'll settle for three 😂
